Caroline and Mommy on Mother's Day

Mother's Day: May 10, 2009

This year, I celebrated my 2nd Mother's Day. I sometimes can't believe that I am a Mommy. I definitely looked forward to being a Mommy; and to have such a sweet and beautiful little girl to be a Mommy too, is a sure blessing!

Each day the love that I have for her grows stronger and stronger and I am looking forward to many special moments and memories as Caroline's Mommy!

I feel like I have learned how to be the best Mommy that I can be from the best Mommy in the world...my Mom. Happy Mother's Day, Mom! I love you.

Love,

Caroline's Mommy

Caroline says...Happy Birthday Cousin Bella!

On May 13, Cousin Bella celebrated her 9th birthday!
We were lucky enough to be there to celebrate with her.

Caroline LOVES her Cousin Bella! She's such a fun playmate...

You can see in the pics below that Caroline has such a fun time playing, watching, and listening

to all that her cousin has to say and do. She especially likes singing, "Happy Birthday to you" and eating ice cream that was created at the ice cream bar at Max and Erma's.

MMM...Ice Cream!

Thanks cousin Bella for having a Birthday! Looking forward to celebrating many more with you!

Caroline's Mommy

Caroline goes VROOM...VROOM!!

Yes, Caroline discovered Uncle Kenny's motorcycle in Pops garage...and she immediately said, "OOHHH!" And of course, Daddy LOVED the fact that his little girl wanted to sit and pretend to ride...Mommy, not so much!

See, before Caroline was born, Daddy had a motorcycle. He decided to sell his motorcycle before Caroline arrived. Just so everyone knows, I did not make him sell it, he did this on his own, but I will say that I was VERY HAPPY that he did! I no longer had to worry about him out on the road on two wheels...which was a big relief! So, we took some of the money from the sale of the bike and bought a nice camera before our little girl was born. So, now we are using this camera to take pictures of a bike that I'm sure Daddy would LOVE to have. But, we have decided that taking Uncle Kenny's bike out for a spin and posing with his little girl, would be the best of both worlds....well, at least that's how I feel! ;~)

Daddy tells me all the time that his little girl has "Batten blood"...but let's just hope that there is some "Wilder blood" there too when it comes to riding motorcycles!

Love,

Caroline's Mommy

Caroline and her Red LadyBug Sandbox

Thanks to our former neighbors...Kris and Dale for giving Caroline this cute little Ladybug Sandbox. We had it last year, but Caroline was too little to really know what to do with it. This year is another story. She LOVES playing with all of her many toys, filling them up with sand and pouring them out, most of the time in the sandbox but we do find sand in places that we never thought there would be! ;~)

Our little Red Ladybug Sandbox is a hit with our little toodlebug. Mommy and Daddy, oh and Mattie too have also had some fun playing in the sand! Not quite the beach, but it will do.

Hope you enjoy the pics of Caroline playing in her Red Ladybug Sandbox!

Love,

Ready, Set, Go...

as Caroline would say!

As you can see I have updated the "look" of the blog. I decided on Strawberries for the background, since it is Strawberry pickin' season AND what girl doesn't LOVE Strawberry Shortcake, right?!? And who could resist this pic of Caroline in her sunglasses...relaxing under her colorful umbrella...wearing red, white, and blue in honor of Memorial Day...what a girly girl!

I have also added a slide show of just a few fun pics of Caroline over the past few weeks. Think of this as a teaser for ALL of the BLOGS to come...I have A LOT of catching up to do!

So, over the next few days you will be seeing bloggings of all our happenings in the month of May.

I just want to know...will I ever catch up!
Miss Caroline keeps mommy VERY BUSY and I LOVE IT!!

Exploring Frying Pan Farm Park

Three words to describe our trip to Frying Pan Farm Park...FUN, FUN, FUN!!

Our friends, Tricia(mommy's friend), Ian (3 1/2 year old) and Maya (who's only 1 day older than Caroline) decided to get together for a play date at the park.

We decided to meet early that morning to avoid the intense heat of the day. Can you believe our weather...it's like we skipped spring and headed straight for the summer heat! Hopefully we will get back a few of those 70 degree days again before long.

Caroline LOVED the farm. Even though we are technically "city" people (living in downtown Leesburg) I think Caroline could be a farm girl at heart! She LOVED all of the animals. We saw pigs, bunnies, sheep, goats, ducks, geese, chickens, a HUGE turkey and even a peacock....OH MY!! Caroline was more than eager to reach through the fences to touch each animal. I had to make sure she didn't try to pull their ears, thinking they are like our one and only Mattie girl at home. I don't think these animals would be quite as understanding and patient as our special doggie Mattie!

Here are a few of our pics from the day spent with our city friends and farm friends alike. We will definitely have to go back and take Daddy for a visit...so much fun!

Oh, I almost forgot...our farm girl loved driving the BIG RED tractor...look out Green Acres!!
