The Battens go on an Adventure...

to Skyline Drive!
Since we didn't get to have a family outing to the pumpkin patch this year, we decided to take a drive to the mountains and see the beautiful foliage. We told Caroline that we were going on an adventure...she was SO EXCITED!!

Despite the TONS of traffic, we had a fun day seeing all the beautiful leaves, hiking, and exploring the mountains together as a family!

Caroline's Pumpkin Pickin' Fun @ Great Country Farms

Unlike last year, where we visited three different pumpkin patches, this year unfortunately, it only worked out that we were able to make it to one, BUT it was a good one!

We have been to this farm the past few years and decided since this was going to be our only opportunity to go, that this would be the best place! There are lots of fun activities, a petting zoo, and of course the hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick your pumpkin out of the patch.

We had decided to go on a Friday, so Daddy had taken the day off, but unfortunately, there were some deadlines at work that he had to meet, so we had to go without him. :(
We were hoping to have another opportunity to go again as a family, but it didn't work out. But we did have a great day! Grandma & Grandad came up and visited and decided to go with us to pick our pumpkins! It was the perfect fall day...and Caroline picked the "perfect pumpkin" as she would say.

Fall Birthday Parties

Caroline has had LOTS of Fall Birthday Parties to attend! She LOVES a party! Especially her favorite part...cake! ;)

The first few pictures are from her friend & neighbor Gracie's 6th Birthday Party. They had a fall/western type theme as you can see. Caroline had so much fun picking and decorating her pumpkin, taking part in the sac race (which required some help from Mommy), and of course hitting the pumpkin pinata!

Next up, was her good friend Avery's Harvest Party! Caroline and Avery are in the same preschool class and they also take dance together each week. They have become very good friends! What a fun party!
