Yes, our baby will be going to Pre-School in the Fall. Can you believe it? It does seem just like yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital and now we are going to OPEN HOUSES for Pre-School.
We visited Haymarket Baptist Church Pre-school. Apparently, this is the place to be! The chapel was packed with parents and their kids eager to learn more about the program, meet the teachers and explore the classrooms. And we did just that. Since Caroline's birthday falls in November, she misses the school cut-off, which means she will be in the 2 1/2 year old class and not the 3 year old class, which actually is a good thing! She will be one of the oldest in her class, which as the teachers said, should be to her advantage.
We are looking into the 2 day a week program (preferably Tu/TH from 9am-12noon). I feel this class will not only allow her to learn new things but to also help her adjust to a classroom setting. The teachers for this 2 1/2 year old class seem highly qualified but most importantly, very loving, caring people. I also love the fact that it is a Christian based program...not too many of those programs available. In addition to building their educational skills they will also learn many important morals, lessons, manners to live by...while having FUN!
So, the next step happens on Monday, February 8. The online registration...at 7am! And remember how I told you earlier that this is the place to be, well apparently registration happens so quickly, that classes fill immediately...so, say a prayer that we can get her into the program. Because once we get her into the school, we will be guaranteed a spot each year! Yay!
I will be sure to let you all know once we have confirmation of her attendance.
Oh, by the way, I forgot one small detail...Caroline has to be completely potty trained by August 15. By this I mean, no pull-ups. Actually wearing big girl panties and using the big girl potty...with a little assistance, so MANY prayers may be needed for this one. I'll cross that bridge once I know we were able to get her into the program. If nothing else...this at least gives me a good incentive to get it done!! That will be nice...no more diapers!! Yah!
So, here are just a few pics of our morning adventure...I had to capture these moments because, as I told Brian, it won't be long and we will be visiting colleges and I want to remember all of these special moments!!

That's the church we went to when we lived there. We actually lived in the big Centex houses right across the street. I hope you guys got in! It is a great place!!
