Happy 2nd Birthday...starring Caroline & BIG POOH BEAR!

What an exciting day!! Our baby turned 2 years old today (November 8). She's becoming such a big girl! She brings so much joy & love to our lives...I never imagined you could possibly love someone this much...but it's true! When you have kids your life is never the same and that is such a wonderful thing!! We love spending everyday exploring life through our 2 year old little girl...Miss Caroline.

So, for her 2 year old Birthday bash, we decided to spend our day with our friends Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Roo & Rabbit in the "100 Akre Woods." If you didn't know, our friend Pooh was the highlight for our little girl this past year. We watched, "The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh & Friends" almost everyday. Well, not everyday but sometimes it felt like that. Caroline couldn't get enough of these characters. The DVD that we have was of the original Pooh and cast, including Christopher Robin himself. Watching the video together brought back many childhood memories for us as well.

With this, there was no question, we had to have a Pooh Party to celebrate our 2 year old big Birthday day! So, Mommy began to plan our celebration. We set the stage of our home as the "100 Akre Woods." We had signs & a map on our front door directing our friends to the "100 Akre Woods" for a picnic. The "100 Akre Woods" was known as our Living Room in our home. We rolled out the grass (green felt), put down a red & white picnic tablecloth, and sprinkled the room with leaves all around to create the feeling of being in the "100 Akre Woods" with Pooh & Friends.

So, what's a birthday bash without some good food! Continuing with our theme of Pooh & Friends, we had Pooh Bear sandwiches (cheese sandwiches in shapes of a Bear), Tigger Tales (Cheetos Spirals), Eeyore tails (blue licorice), Piglet Pink Lemonade, and Rabbit's Garden (mixed vegetables)...had to make sure we had at least something healthy on the menu! And of course, the main course...Pooh & Friends Birthday cake and cupcakes...mmm!

But most importantly, what's a Pooh Party without Pooh himself being there to celebrate with our 2 year old little girl! Yes, Pooh Bear or Big Pooh Bear as Caroline calls him made his debut before Caroline's friends arrived. When she first laid eyes on him, she had a look of sheer surprise! It was priceless. She proceeded to hug him and take his hand to lead him upstairs to the "100 Akre Woods." Pooh greeted all of our guests, which some of them were a little unsure of this character, but most of them warmed up to him by the time he had to say goodbye. Pooh picnicked, played with the parachute with Caroline & her friends in the backyard, and sang Happy Birthday to our little girl! Pooh definitely made a lasting impression on Caroline...she is still talking about Big Pooh Bear and her party!

Once Pooh waved goodbye...the party continued with a couple of Balloon artists. They made the Birthday girl the first balloon, which was a bunny rabbit! She LOVED it! Each of Caroline's friends received a balloon shaped animal at their request...what a fun time! It was amazing how fast the balloon artists were able to create such detailed animals.

So, enjoy the pics of our 2 year old little girl, Miss Caroline and her friends at her Big Pooh Bear Party!!

We love you Caroline...so glad we were able to give you such a wonderful birthday bash!

Love,

Caroline's Mommy
